Editorial Note

Claudia Tenney of New York introduced H.Res. 521 with Brad Sherman, Elise Stefanik, Josh Gottheimer, Don Bacon, and Jeff Van Drew as original cosponsors. It was introduced after Israel's June 13 preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and before the US joined the war in February 2026. The resolution gives congressional blessing to any further Israeli military action against Iran. It has sat in the House Foreign Affairs Committee since introduction.
